Beloved Customers,

Kaya’s will be closing our doors on March 29th and opening new doors into the next chapter in our lives. We are pleased to pass the torch to restauranteurs Phil Ferro and Dan Prazenica who will be taking over the lease and opening La Tez – a Mexican tapas BYOB complete with Margarita & cocktail mixers. We ask you to come and check out what they have to offer, as it will be Havertown’s first and only restaurant of this genre! They have kindly offered to honor all Kaya’s gift certificates purchased in the last year (April 2013 to present, excluding Living Social & Amazon promotions). Chef Mike I and would like to thank all our faithful regulars and our families for your love and support over the last 6 years, as it has been an amazing chapter in our lives. We hope that you will find the time to gather friends and family and come in for one “last supper.”

In an attempt to keep the food we are serving fresh and seasonal as possible we often do not know the particular preparations of the dishes we are serving until dinner time. You can always expect that when you dine with us that the food served will be intriguing combinations & variations of comfort food prepared with passion by Chef-Owner Michael Hawthorne. We are simply asking that when you come to Kaya's to eat you trust that we have your best interests in mind.

A Family Place

Kaya’s Fusion Cuisine is owned and operated by Michael & Jessica Hawthorne. This BYOB restaurant, named after our four-year-old daughter, was built solely on a dream that we made a reality. Our menu style is Fusion, meaning contemporary American with global influences. Our focus is fresh food and fresh ideas. Our produce is seasonal and hand picked from Local Farmers Markets. Our fish is picked up regularly by the chef that prepares it, whole and fresh and thereafter handles with gratitude for the bounties of the glorious sea. We prefer to serve Free Range, grass fed steaks provided by Lime Valley Mill Farm one of our favorite vendors at the Oakmont Farmers Market.
